With long stretches of sandy beaches alternating with intimate bays, steep cliffs, offshore islands and deeply cut natural harbours, combined with near tropical weather, Tutukaka will be a place you will want to come back to over and over again.
What to Expect
Arrive in Whangarei (either by air, bus or personal transport) where your adventure begins. Whangarei is the closest town to the coast and has all shopping facilities you will need for the long weekend. The trip is partially catered, so you can grab any food and other supplies you may need.
Arrive in Tutukaka (either by personal transport or the Whangarei Coastal Commuter) to be greeted at your bach style accommodation with snacks and refreshments, then let the adventures begin! Your next three days will be spent Paddling along the Tutukaka Coast, SUP Surfing, doing SUP Yoga, Scuba diving (optional), walking one or two of the many bush and coastal walks, power kite flying, horse trekking (optional), wine tasting and of course eating delicious local food.
